The Best Beginner Sports

Perhaps you are feeling like you just aren’t active enough. It happens as you get older you start working less and less on yourself and more and more on the other things in your life. The fact is it’s tough to start a sport especially if you have never been much of an athlete. You might be looking at all the sports out there and wondering where to begin so here is a list of a few sports you can try that could be the start of a great and active lifestyle.

Golf: This is not always the cheapest sport to play but it is one of the most peaceful, challenging, and presents the best views and scenery. It’s not the most active sport you can play either, but it’s possible to get a good workout. Walk the course when possible for more exercise. You can get a cheap set of clubs at a second hand store and spend time working on your swing and getting the hang of the game before you consider upgrading. Get a buddy involved. It could be the best decision you make.

Cycling: This is admittedly cheaper than golf, assuming you don’t buy a top of the line road bike, and it can offer the best scenery imaginable. This, of course, is much more vigorous than golf and will require much more stamina but if you can do it, or find a group of friends to do it with, you will be glad you made the choice to become a cyclist.

Swimming: All this takes is a lap lane at the local gym or a warm open body of water, but it presents the absolute best workout you can get and it really costs nothing. You just pay for the cost of the swim trunks and start watching the health benefits happen for you.
